Primary Maths Tutors

Maths Tuition – EYFS

Who says 123 is easy? Learning to count is one of the first steps in Early Years Education, a stage in which children will begin to explore Shape and Measurement and develop their problem-solving skills. Our tutors can help ensure that your child isn’t overwhelmed by the new-ness of numerical concepts and make certain that they have got to grips with the basics before they move into Key Stage 1.

Good to know… We keep you in the loop – our tutors report back to you on each session so that you can see what has been covered and what the next steps will be.

Maths Tuition – Key Stage 1

Can you count backwards from 100? In order to meet the objectives for Key Stage 1 Maths you will need to show you can. This stage also focuses on addition, subtraction and counting in multiples; basic skills which will lie at the heart of their future learning.  We can help your child familiarise themselves with all the requirements of this stage and become confident in all things mathematical – by taking a creative approach, our tutors make maths enjoyable. And they can all count backwards from 100 on demand.

Good to know…We strive to find you just the right person to support your child’s learning, if we don’t get it quite right the first time you will not be charged for your initial lesson.

Maths Tuition – Key Stage 2

Fractions. Yes. Key Stage 2 is where the Fractions really start to happen. It’s also the stage in which children will undertake their first Maths SATs. Fret not though, our tutors not only do fractions for fun, they can also support your child with all the skills and knowledge they will need to tackle their SATs with confidence and lay a strong foundation for the coming key stages.

Curriculum areas covered at Key Stage 2 include:

  • Decimals
  • Converting Fractions to Decimals
  • Multiplication and Division

Good to know…Using a creative approach and linking maths to real-world scenarios, our tutors create bespoke sessions, tailored to your child’s needs, so that they not only make good progress but find learning fun too.

THE GOOD SCHOOLS GUIDE SAYS:

“A lot of these companies are not that serious about education – not exactly fly-by-night, but nowhere near as sincere and professional as Newman Tuition, who take an interest in how you educate people and really care about their clients.”
