Summer Reading or not!
Summer holidays are a great time for children to be able to read what they want and more importantly when they want. It is really important to ensure your child continues to read throughout the summer. Don’t however set daily minute requirements or determine the number of pages they should read. Instead, just ensure they have access to books you know they will like to read or they consider to be fun. It may also be worth investing in a Kindle or another type of electronic reading ‘gadget’ if you think it may make reading more fun for your child.
You may also want to use the summer break to review your child’s recent school year and think about which areas your child may need additional tuition or support in the next academic year. Please do call or email for advice.
